Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the company called NC Drainage when you do other things?

When we started, we thought we'd focus exclusively on drainage, but as we met and spoke with homeowners, we quickly found that there was a significant need for a responsive, service-minded, and skilled company to handle many kinds of outdoor projects. We had the expertise and the equipment, so we decided to offer more solutions.

HOW quickly can i GET A QUOTE?

Quick! We pride ourselves on being responsive and efficient with both our time and yours. Our quotes are detailed and take time to prepare, but we consistently hear that we deliver our quotes more quickly than other contractors.

How long will my project take?

The requirements of each project vary, but most can be completed in a single day. This includes site prep, all trench and fill work, as well as cleanup to ensure that your yard is left in the best possible condition.

IS THERE A BEST TIME OF YEAR to do DRAINAGE WORK?

Common wisdom holds that the growing season for your type of grass is the best time to do work in your yard (spring and fall for fescue, rye, and bluegrass, summer for bermuda and zoysia). While this is true, completing drainage work in winter is a great choice too, since you don't have to worry about damaging growing turf.

Will this wreck my yard?

No. We take great care throughout the site prep, trenching, and backfill process to ensure that there is minimal damage to your yard. And let's face it, the reason you called us is because your yard has issues anyway, so what are you worried about? In all seriousness, we aim to be as minimally intrusive as possible. There will be some evidence that work was done in most cases, but it's a small price to pay for results that will make a huge difference in the usability and condition of your yard.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes, NC Drainage is fully insured and can provide a certificate of insurance upon request at any time.

WHAT DOES A FRENCH DRAIN OR OUTDOOR DRAINAGE SOLUTION COST?

Our professional consultants price each project in accordance with your needs and your budget. 9 out of 10 of the residential drainage solutions we complete cost between $2,500 and $5,000. We find that in most cases, our prices are extremely competitive. We're able to do top quality work at competitive prices because we are locally owned and operated, and our business comes predominantly from word of mouth recommendations, not through expensive advertising or third party lead referrals.
